One night a poor blind woman is standing on Weidendamm Bridge with a little girl, selling matches. A brave boy is quicker than all the grown-ups in tackling a thief. Fräulein Andacht and Robert the Devil are cooking up some evil schemes. Fat Berta dances the tango and does her Indian club-swinging. Herr and Frau Pogge are Dot’s parents, but unfortunately only part-time.
